They have a website too, but you'll have to Google it.

It's straight down the road when you exit Hakdong subway station.

He did his training in New York, and many of his clients are US expats. I was happy with his treatment, and am happy to recommend him.

Hey you guys, thanks for you replies! I'll try starting with your suggestions, they sound like good places to go to. and somebody else asked this before me but how much do they normally cost? I'm 24 and I might have to get braces that are less visible to minimize stress in the work and social environment. Thanks!

We have a full dental hospital at our medical center in South Eastern Seoul, with a friendly English speaking staff. If you'd like a consult let me know I can introduce you to a great Orthodontist

Mine are 6M, but that's for the invisalign ones, and I need them on for two years.

6M?? So is there a payment plan option or something to set up for that? Do you have some kind of insurance that helps with that?

I paid 200,000 for the initial consultation and analysis and x-rays, models, etc. Then I paid 200,000 to get all the little steps done before installation, such as spacers and bands, and I also needed two top teeth extracted because of crowding. Once the braces were on I paid 3M. Then I'll pay in increments until the process is finished in two years. There is no insurance because it's considered cosmetic.

My teeth have some major problems due to my lower jaw being in a forward position. So they need to have crowding reduced as well as be straightened as well as be re-angled in relation to proper jaw alignment. I'll need jaw surgery this year. (Let's not talk about the price of that.)

I think the normal metal braces would be about 3M, and the invisible braces for relatively normal teeth would be about 4M. Depends on the dentist, but I'd go to a nicer dentist rather than save a little money.

6M seems expensive for Invisalign. My dentist quoted me about $1500 (50% of $3000) here in Canada.

Just curious. How does someone need braces A.S.A.P? Did someone bash your teeth in last night or something?

I went to Dr. Kim in Seolleung station. He's great. Before, I had TMJ and was having all kind of crazy pain in my jaw because my previous orthodontist screwed up. It cost me 4.5 to get everything done--because I had a lot. I got half invisalign and half porcelain. Plus I had to get some teeth reshaped. Now, I get all kinds of compliments on my smile. Wheras before I got none. Worth every penny.

Hope I'm not hijacking, but I need to get braces as well and was thinking of doing it when I get back to Korea. Does anyone know if the orthos recommended do the braces that go on the backside of the teeth? I've been told by an ortho here in the US that I wouldn't be able to get the Invisilign because my teeth need too much work but I don't really want to get regular braces that everyone can see at my age.
