Never really tried.
Unless you count using recruiters that advertise here.
I just talked with a buttload of them.
I couldn't even tell you who finally connected me with my job.

Yup, the one I have now. Honestly (and this could be because I was pretty impulsive about moving to Asia) I wouldn't have known another way to do it. I was told by people I met while in Nicaragua about this website, and 2 weeks after I got home to the States, I had this job Smile

What are the other options? Straight up recruiters?

I got a few very good job leads through posters on the site, but never took a job through the job ads here.

It's not a half bad way to do a job search. Most people won't tell you about a job opening at their school, if its a terrible place to work, and a referral from a current employee carries a lot of weight with Korean bosses.

40% of my jobs = found myself through Dave's.
30% = a recruiter hunted them down for me.
30% = I applied/showed up in person.

Not once in all 12 years. First one was a recruiter in Canada, everything that followed was word of mouth through networking.

Have you really had at least 10 jobs in Korea? If so can you tell us how the jobs you found here (on Dave's) compare to the others?
