Every 13-year old in the world is embarrassed by their dad. It is just the nature of the 13-year old beast. As Mark Twain said, "When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around." Imagine what it must be like to wake up when you are 22 and find out your dad, Osama bin Laden, killed a couple of thousand people... That just has to do a number on your head. So you go out and marry a woman who is twice your age...who has already been married 4 times. Talk about self-defeating behavior.

Ya gotta sympathize with the guy. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080118/ap_on_re_mi_ea/bin_laden_s_son

This is further evidence that guys under the age of 40 are hormonally challenged and shouldn't be allowed within 50 feet of the voting booth.

Better he be a peace activist than follow in his father's footsteps.

I take exception to that, caniff. Short, fat, bald men can also be peace activists. Omar is a rather good-looking dude, all things considered. (Especially his bank account.)

He's loaded with cash and he marries a divorcee twice his age?

It's like he's gold-digging on himself or something. It's like...I don't know. Confused

Sorry, I didn't realize you were that old. You know they make chemicals for that now.

What? Zyklon B?

I don't at all mind being the age I am. The only way to prevent achieving this age is to kick the bucket even younger.

For my first few years here on this site, I didn't mention anything that would give away my age, because I knew what would happen when/if I did. Finally, some dork said something so stupendously stupid that I just couldn't forebear anymore.

The results were exactly as expected. My age became an issue. The only really remarkable thing is that there are so many stupendously stupid things said that I didn't 'come out' before I did.

From the perspective of almost 6 decades, I can say the human race doesn't seem to be getting any stupider. Unfortunately, it isn't getting any smarter, either.

Well, age hasn't affected your sense of humor. The Zyklon line is one of the better comebacks I've read on here. Then again, it might play better for me as a Jew.

Sorry, but you are not really Jewish. If you were, you wouldn't be mucking about with caucuses. You'd be working for the Rothchildes and too busy attending Bilderburger/Bohemian Grove/Tri-Lateral Commission meetings to mess with message boards like this one.

You must be one of IGTG's disinformation socks.

Funny, I was about to out you as one of IGTG's socks. You and your antysemitism or whatever crazy way he writes it.

And I mis-typed. It's jew with a little 'j'. I'm clipped, but no bris, and I got gypped out of a Bar Mitzah. It was my Dad's insistence that I be raised Catholic that gypped me, ironic given that my father is of Gypsy descent.

Sorry, I don't trust him.

Quote:
"My father is asking for a truce but I don't think there is any government (that) respects him. At the same time they do not respect him, why everywhere in the world, they want to fight him? There is a contradiction," he said.

Let's see if I can resolve this contradiction: no gov't can survive suing for peace with an individual/NGO. Its humiliating.

Omar is an unofficial spokesman for his father.

What's wrong with him marrying an older woman if they are happy together? She's still a good looking woman and he might find her very exciting. Maybe they are soulmates. If it were Bin Laden's daughter marying a good looking 52 year old man, then no-one would much care.

I shouldn't do this...

...ah, what the hell.
