I have agreed to 2.4 million, 20,000 OT, and have talked to the teacher I am replacing (It is the end of his contract). It's only an oral agreement so far, haven't signed anything yet, haven't sent documents.

I'm aware of the pitfalls with "bad hagwons," etc. After talking to the teacher that I am replacing, I felt pretty good about the deal. He's from the states, not a bullsheitter (I'm a pretty good judge of character...yes, even over the phone and having only talked to someone for 30 minutes). I think the most important question I asked him was, "would you do it all over again?" He stated: Apart from a lot of hassles and other things that you just can't change, yes, I would." He stated he loved his job, loved his students, had a great time with the staff, but also stated that the president of EG was a shifty, sorta strange character, but that you'd never really see him.... I dunno. Just sounds like a good deal.

What do you all think? Any other suggestions? Opinions?
