Look at all those 9 -11 conspiracy theorists .who can't even vote in US elections upset and threatening not to watch - who don't even get Fox news.
LOL
At any rate the decision not to include was not done by Fox news but by the Republican party.

I don't blame them. If I had an offering to present to a large audience with a middle class income, I'd advertise through Fox too. |

| Cool, they'll take the hit anyway and realise their advertising dollars would be better spent elsewhere. |

What is this 'hit' you refer to? Some posters on Daves, who don't recieve Fox News to begin with, will threaten Fox with a boycott? Fox News will not lose any viewership just because Paul isn't invited to a debate.
Like I said, I'd still present my offering to Fox's middle income audiance. I doubt any marketing exec would change their mind either. |

Fergus Cullen, chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party, issued a press release this afternoon about Fox News' presidential candidates forum scheduled for January 6. His release is below.
We thank Mr. Cullen for his statement today and for his efforts with Fox News.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: December 31, 2007
Contact: Fergus Cullen, Chairman, New Hampshire Republican Party
NH REPUBLICANS: DONT LIMIT DEBATE PARTICIPANTS
CONCORD New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Fergus Cullen releases the following statement regarding primary weekend debates:
Limiting the number of candidates who are invited to participate in debates is not consistent with the tradition of the first in the nation primary. The level playing field requires that all candidates be given an equal opportunity to participate not just a select few determined by the media prior to any votes being cast.
Therefore, the New Hampshire Republican Party calls upon all media organizations planning pre-primary debates or forums for both parties to include all recognized major candidates in their events.
The New Hampshire Republican Party has notified FOX News of our position, and we are in ongoing discussions with FOX News about having as many candidates as possible participate in the forum scheduled for January 6. |

In that clip, Buchanan says people 'from all over the country' are flocking in to attend caucuses.
Does he mean non-citizens of Iowa? If that is true, it would be voter fraud of the first order. |
Why assume they'll be voting?
There's also logistical support, monitoring the process, observation, assessing the overall fairness & "legitimacy" etc etc. |

So, what happened?
Months ago, NH GOP chairman Fergus Cullen had been in touch with FoxNews about a possible forum on January 6th. He had even contacted all the GOP candidates to see whether they were available. However, plans for the ABC debate were finalized with all candidates early in December and Cullen "threw in the towel." See "OUTFOXED" in the NH Union Leader of December 16th.
At that time, Cullen had not received a response from Ron Paul, who had committed to a conflicting luncheon at the NH Liberty Forum at the same time.
Skip ahead to December 27th, when the Union Leader reported that all candidates had agreed to the ABC/WMUR debate and reporter Garry Rayno added a confusing paragraph about Giuliani finally agreeing to the (canceled) January 6th forum, which had already been converted into a simple state GOP brunch.
Due to the timing of this article, there was no way to confirm who will or won't attend the brunch, but it is not a broadcast debate and has nothing to do with FoxNews. Nevertheless, a blog in Washington picked up the story, scrambled it and their "BHDC Staff" reported a list of the candidates who would be attending, which did not include Ron Paul (he hadn't officially confirmed, due to the conflict).
That story was picked up by the AP Newswire, which added some information that it had from a month earlier about the format being discussed.
Finally, the AP article was picked up by Lew Rockwell and passed along to DailyPaul.com, with all the errors intact. Of course, a firestorm ensued on all the Ron Paul nets before the information could be verified. Immediately, thousands of messages went to FoxNews and the NH GOP protesting the exclusion.
Unfortunately, the Ron Paul campaign didn't sort out the facts before sending out a news release blasting Fox for their "outrageous" conduct, even if they did note that the information had not been confirmed. From there, the report spread into dozens of blogs and news commentaries.
An unfortunate false alarm. Lesson: Fast news is sometimes "bad" news. Faux News is worthy of criticism for what they have done, not for what they haven't done. Look before you leap. |

Anyone BUT Ron Paul!
The Trail Less Traveled:
Left Out of Debate, Ron Paul Feels The Love Elsewhere
By Jonathan Allen, CQ Staff
Mon Jan 7, 12:08 AM ET
NASHUA, N.H. -- The voice that Fox News wouldn't broadcast Sunday night came through loud and clear to the more than 400 Ron Paul fans who jammed into the Crowne Plaza hotel's ballroom here Sunday afternoon to hear his alternative vision for America.
Paul, a Texas Republican in the House of Representatives and the closing speaker at the libertarian-oriented 2008 Liberty Forum, acknowledged that if elected president he might not be able to move as fast as some in the room might like.
If he could not immediately achieve the goal of abolishing the Federal Reserve, he said, he would seek to ensure that gold and silver could be used as currency. But he did pledge to immediately remove U.S. troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, Korea, Japan, Europe as well as other spots around the globe.
If elected, he said, "There's nothing that says I have to enforce unconstitutional laws."
The crowd, representing many of the "outliers" of the American political spectrum, waved placards and American flags as they repeatedly rose to their feet.
If nothing else, Paul's backers, who include pro wrestler Glen Jacobs (aka "Kane") and former Rep. Barry Goldwater Jr., are more overtly enthusiastic about their candidate than most political activists.
That energy could make Paul's primary day performance here a compelling undercard for Tuesday's marquee matchups of Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton and Republicans John McCain and Mitt Romney.

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (CNN) The New Hampshire Republican Party announced Saturday that it was withdrawing as a partner of Sundays primary debate on FOX because of the exclusion of two GOP presidential hopefuls.
"The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field. Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures, New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Fergus Cullen said in a statement.
The New Hampshire Republican Party believes Congressmen Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter should be included in the FOX forum on Sunday evening. Our mutual efforts to resolve this difference have failed."
Supporters of presidential candidates Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter had complained over the exclusion of both men from Sunday nights debate, the final faceoff before Tuesdays primary.

I'm still not sure about Ron Paul, but I feel the GOP did the right thing. |

Here's some of the lastest on the guy many think could team up with Ron Paul as his VP running mate.
The ReVOLution Will NOT Be Televised.
Supreme Court Denies Kucinich Ballot Bid
Fri Jan 18, 2:50 PM ET
WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court on Friday allowed Texas to print presidential primary ballots without Democratic candidate Dennis Kucinich's name.
The court refused to step into a dispute between Kucinich and the Texas Democratic Party over a loyalty oath all candidates must sign to make the ballot.
Kucinich and singer-supporter Willie Nelson objected to the party oath that a presidential candidate must "fully support" the party's eventual nominee. Kucinich crossed out the oath when he filed for a spot on the primary ballot.
A federal judge in Austin ruled against Kucinich last week. U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel ruled the state party has the right to require the oath. Kucinich and Nelson argued it violated Kucinich's First Amendment right to free speech.
Texas said its deadline is Saturday to print absentee ballots so that they can reach overseas voters in time for the March 4 primary.
