This is a common misnomer.
Why would Apple want to alter your music? Apple has been at the forefront of mp3 player technology and newer forms of music players/distributon. And legally how could they alter your music It is true that music purchased from the iTunes store can only be played on your authorized computer or iPod via iTunes. This is a DRM issue, it was never what Apple wanted and they have actively been fighting for DRM-free content for years. I am assuming this is what you were thinking about. if a person adds or rips their music onto their computer and adds it to iTunes it is just a normal mp3.

Further, your iPod it tied to your computer. You cant use another computer to add music to your iPod, without either deleting all the music on it, or waiting. I say waiting, because you need to copy the music to your iPod in disk mode, then take it back to the "home" computer, copy the music to that, point iTunes to the new music and have it sync back to your iPod.

The only time iTunes will delete music off your iPod (without your consent)is if you have iTunes set to auto-sync. Are you sure you can't connect to another computer and use iTunes (in manual mode) to copy songs? Seems like that should work. |
Yea, as long as you have the auto-sync option off in itunes, you can plug any ipod into any pc and add music to the ipod. I have added music from my pc from back home, my laptop here in Korea, and my buddy's laptop as well. |

I-pod 160GB version (available at Costco).
Everything else are mere imitations.

If you don't need all your media all the time, then a jailbroken Touch can't be beat. Books, games, videos, music...the list goes on. |

Please elaborate or stop trolling. As usual, Rocklee insults someone and writes negative stuff about macs without backing anything up that he has said. |

Have you got this running on your ipod and what format does it stream?
I do the same thing on my eeePC with a bigger screen, play any video/audio format and even browse the internet at the same time. It'll also output video to a secondary monitor or projector too. |

There's no need to elaborate as I've explained about this several times before. Do a search Apple trollboy. |

When you can put it in your pocket I'll be interested.
Edit: I mean, honestly, my computer does loads of things that my mp3 player doesn't. Do you know why? Because one is a freaking computer and one is an mp3 player. |

Lol. Since you are the guy who only posts negative comments and hasn't contributed anything constructive ever about the subject, you can go back and hide under the bridge now, ok. |

Yes I know one is a freaking computer and the other is a freaking trying to be a computer, so guess which one is better.
And you still haven't answered my first question - have you got eyeTV running on your ipod and what formats does it stream.
And yes I need wifi to be in my pocket and when I'm on the top of Mt. Sol-Ak. |

Stop being a jackass. If you honestly wanted to know what format it plays, I'm sure you could have googled the answer in the same amount of time it took you to write up your "my PC is better than Thunndarr's mp3 player" post. |

Don't call me a troll, I've contributed on things other than mp3 players and computers than you care about. Unlike you I try all kinds of products and am usually happy with them.
Seriously do a search Apple trollboy or start your own "lets have sex with our Apples" forum. |
