Proceed to nearest Japanese consulate or embassy. Gain a visa.

South Africans may not enter japan without said visa.

Passing immi in Japan , ensure that you have a return ticket to Korea as all necessary documentation will be checked wholesale. The word tickeee will be bansheed at you.

It's not b/c you look like Tickey the Clown.

So South Africans can get a tourist visa easy as that ? Not what other people have told me but if true that's good news . How long does it take and how much does it cost ?

I would call my embassy but its weekend .Wouldn't want to bother their beaurocratic life of lazy luxury .

It's as easy as one two three. I think it costs 30 000 won.

The only thing is that you have to drop off passport and pics the one day and pick up the following day, necessitating two trips.

The Japs are v strict about anything from Africa. Makes one think, doesn't it?

The only real downside is, you'll go into deep dark depression when you have to return to K.

Girls are more about town and prettier. One Jap guy I spoke to said that Jap girls have straight hair , when I was describing K girls to him.

It was almost like he was indifferent to Korean folks.

wow...came here looking for some info, and found someone had opened pandora's box.

EDIT: Only finished reading through the rest of ranting and poorly supported arguments. While the current president may or may not have embarressed himself with comments on AIDS, the health minister sure has, not to mention the likely president-elect...who I believe wasn't worried about getting AIDS after unprotected sex because he took a shower after the fact.

PS. Thanks for the visa info.
