He was found dead at 3:26PM, Tuesday US time, in his Manhattan apt by his masseuse. How sad for the acting world. He ws talented and one of his movies is one of my favs...not to mention he was pretty cute for a western guy. He was 28 years old. They are saying it was drug-related. Those Hollywood people may have tons of money and fame, but they are a sad bunch. |

I hope his performance in the Dark Knight is a good one, it will be a fitting tribute to him. |

Hey,
I have to say, I'm pretty shocked about Heath. I mean, just last week when Brad Renfro died in similar circumstances I can't say I was all that surprised. He had been having a highly publicized problem with drugs for a while. Heath, on the other hand, seemed like a guy who had it together. And maybe he did. It's very possible he was just stressed, trying to get some sleep and accidentally overdosed. I hate hearing of people dying young. |

I never saw that. Unless you mean the drugs that he may have used to commit suicide. But even that hasn't been confirmed.
Sad news nonetheless. Always a tragedy to hear of such young people dying, especially if it's suicide, and especially when it's someone who seems to have everything going for them.

Not Mary Kate Olsen's apartment.
Rx & OTC sleeping meds found by him, if that's "drugs" for you. |

sure is sad news.. he never took himself seriously about all the attention he got and how famous he was. he always said "im not the greatest actor around but I am here and I will try my best!" he seemed a real down to earth guy...
drug related.. well could be anything.. the sleeping pills might have conflicted with something else he was one and made his heart stop..
feel sorry for his mom and dad who have to get a phone call from his agent saying their son is dead.. DAMN bet they would have never thought of that happening.. |

Is filming finished, or will this be another Crow/Brandon Lee thing? |

the story i read said that filming had finished for his role as The Joker. So we don't need those jerky CGI replacements like Oliver Reed in Gladiator. |

As an inbred, conservative creationist, I blame Ledger's death (and Hurricane Katrina) on his acting and sex scenes in Brokeback Mountain. |

I would even say the current war in Iraq is related. |
