Feb 28 is when my ARC/Visa expires. Is there a grace period for moving? Like a week or two? Basically it ends on a thursday and I sure would like to fly home on a Saturday or Sunday.

This site says 2 weeks:

Anyone have experience different?

I was in this situation at the end of the year. I called immigration and they told me I had to leave on the day my e2 expired (the day shown on your ARC).

But I extended my visa online at www.g4f.go.kr. Just register, apply, and then print off the permission certificate. You can extend your e2 by two weeks.

You have 3 choices:

1) Leave Korea by midnight on the evening of the 28th.

2) Take your exit ticket to immigration and get an extension until your departure date (up to 30 days from your ARC expiry. This can also be done on-line and by fax (to show your ticket) but make sure you print off ALL the documentation so you don't have problems at the airport. http://www.g4f.go.kr

3) Overstay your visa, pay the fine and get the blackmark in your immigration file when you leave. Be early getting to the airport because this option will also entail an interogation and delays and payment of the fine before you leave.

Seriously if you get to the airport with no money what do they do make you stay?

Seriously, yes.

You can either use a bank machine or go sit in a detention cell until you can make arrangements for payment (days or weeks if need be) - and they don't care if you miss your flight.
