At first look, it resembles a humanoid:
but looking at the surrounding landscape in other pics there appear to be a lot of strange shaped rocks ...
The skeptical badastronomy website rejects the humanoid theory because they say that the object must be very small since it's very near the rover - but that doesn't rule out tiny Martians ... |

No. The hard radiation that hits Mars rules out tiny Martians. |

Hard radiation doesn't rule out consciousness - which arguably is nonphysical.
The Vedic conception is that according to the relative material compositions of each planet, there are different types of bodies adapted to those conditions (eg: there are conscious beings with fire bodies on the sun...)
There can even be conscious rocks - which may be the case on a purportedly hellish planet like Mars (although even on hellish planets living beings usually are afforded subtle bodies in order to repeatedly endure harsh punishments over a lifetime for their sinful activities and atheistic evangelism in this life ... ) |

I actually agree with part of what Rteacher said, but more along the Star Trek route than the crazy cult one.
As far as we know we're the only planet with carbon-based life that requires water and is vulnerable to radiation. Maybe on other planets, there are silicon-based creatures that suck down radiation like milkshakes and look like little blurry Bigfoots. |

Hard radiation rules out cellular biology. |

Maybe impossible from the perspective of modern biological evolution theory - but certainly not impossible from the perspective of an infinitely intelligent universal creator...

I await your yogis to fly there and bring back a sample and prove me wrong. |

Well, it's definitely not Bigfoot, since Mars has a tiny atmosphere of unbreathable C02. Other than that, y'all were persuaded, eh? |
