During my travels of Europe I ate more Doner Kebabs than you can imagine. Can this wonderful food be found in Seoul? And where?

Go to Itaewon.

The closest is the outdoor 'shop' next to the Coffee Bean on the corner opposite the Hamilton Hotel. Exit 2?? Those are tasty. If not that one, go down one block behind the Coffee Bean to the first little street and turn left. There is another shop, 2nd building I think.

Both places serve good food. You can't go wrong with either choice.

You can find kebabs, but they won't taste like the ones they serve in England on the street in the vans.

The second shop Yata recommended in Itaewon is the best, in the alley behind the Coffee Bean.

You can get a falafel at Pita Time. If you're facing the Hamilton from across the street, make a left and keep walking till you see it on your left (2F).

If you don't mind making a northwardly voyage, if you go up to the relatively brand-new Bosan station on the Seoul Subway Line 1, there are a couple of Ha's Kebabs to greet you once you are out. Donner kebabs are their specialty and they are $4 or 4,000 won. They are deelish.

The Coffee Bean is still there, on the second floor. The first floor has been converted into a Quiznos and a Cold Stone Ice Cream parlor. In the alley behind the coffee bean, is a small turkish kebab place, and it is quite good.

The falafel at Istanbul's by Noksapyeong station, right at the corner of veggie hill is really tasty as well.

You can also get falafel as a side at Marakesh Night's restaurant (two locations, both in Itaewon). One is across from the Itaewon hotel, and the other is at the other end of the street, across from McDonald's and up that hill that wraps around toward Noksapyeong station.

I went there only once, never going back. They had pre-made the kebabs, veggies an all, and wrapped them up. When I ordered one, they simply popped it in the microwave for 30 seconds and gave it to me. All this while they were pre-making fresh kebabs.

Falafel - Itaewon - Pharaoh's (egyptian food).

The falafel is good. I can't vouch for the other food. The first time I went in there it was really great. The man (maybe owner) made everything fresh. The second time, there was a woman there who heated everything in the microwave. Including the bread, so it was all rubbery. The falafel was still good though.

Pharaoh's is up hooker hill from the fire-station. Alley to the left, just before the international food store. It'll be on your right, just a bit up the alley.
