Hello... I live near Debek Plaza in Daegu (.... Kind of between Seosong and Meondyuck stations...)
I am in depserate need of a gym (it doesn't need to be anything fancy). There is the sporex plaza which is 7 floors of health fitness goodness... but far out of my spending allowance;) hehe (It is 100,000 Won a month... I am used to paying no more than 30$ a month back home!)
If anyone knows of any places it would be greatly appreciated:)
(Ps... I am not sure if this is where I am supposed to be posting these things... but I have become desperate!!! ) THanks a million! |

There is one large-ish place directly across the flood plain from Debec Plaza. I believe it has a bowling pin on top.
However, i doubt you will be able to find any places that charge les than 60,000/month.
Hangeul for Health CLub is... 헬스
Saunas, which may also have fitness facilities... 사우나
I'll bet if you look around, you will find quite a few signs in your neighborhood. The smaller/older places will be cheaper. |

Thanks:) yeah.... the one across the river is the sporex place.. its 100,000 won a month!!!! its SUPER nice (yes bowling and golfing!!!) hehe but I just wouldnt go ENOUGH to make it worth the money:(
Boooo!!! I am going to figure out how to spell GYM in korean and go ask around:)

Hangeul for "gym" isn't going to help you. Use the references I gave you for health club, and sauna.
They really don't use the term Gym here. |

This info is about 3 years old, so the club might not be there anymore, but 황희동헬스피아 charged 100,000won for 3 months, and they are across the bridge from Debec Plaza. To get there, walk across on the bridge on the left side, going away from Debec. Walk straight until the next intersection and look for it on the left corner. |

you're not going to pay anything less than 40 a month (from my experience).
I know where there are 2 about a 10-12 minute walk from Debec plaza.
If you go across the bridge (walking away from Debec) and keep walking straight there is one called Health Hawii (not sure how to write in Korean) .
It's right on Suseong market. |

OP: I don't know why you just don't look for a sign in your neighborhood with the Hangeul I gave you.
I guarantee there will be something decent within 3 blocks of your house. |

He's probably right......there are a lot of gyms..obviously some are better than others...(like the 100,000 a month) |
