So I start at this hogwon after there last teacher pulled a runner, and I look at the student's names and every class has the same names, Ricky Cory, Jim, Randy, Trevor, even a couple Julians and a Bubbles! And not just the boys either we have some Lucys, Trinities, Barbaras and Sarahs. I think it is so funny cause most of the less bright kids are named Ricky!

Gotta say those are some of the coolest kids I've ever heard of. Does Randy have the big ass cheeseburger gut?

The names people come up with... hehe...

One of my kids is named "Any".

My co-worker came in and was talking to the class... I thought it was about her, because she kept saying "Any". Then I realized she was just saying "no" a lot.

I wonder if that has something to do with Any being a contrary, and difficult little piss.

Actually most of the names aren't that bad. I personally never would have known that's who they were named after unless I followed the show.

Bubbles on the other hand....that's out there.

I wanted to name kids after Saved by the Bell characters, but everyone at my last place thought that might not be a good idea. Think of it: Zach, A.C., Lisa, Kelly, Jessie, and SCREECH! They're not even bad names, and unless you put them all together no one would be the wiser... (Well okay Screech may not be a good name, coulda gone with Sam)

I also thought of Blanch, Dorothy, Sophia, and Rose as a set for a clique of girls -- heh Golden girls..

So much potential..

Crow,

The old fashion English names don't fly really well here in Korea. Screech...good god, I hope you wouldn't name a kid that. That would be downright mean.

Screech? That's no worse than what some of the kids come up with on their own. To take just one example, there was the Foot Locker class: three of the boys dubbed themselves Nike, Puma, and Asics.

I inhereted a Luke, Han, Chewie, Boba, Leiah, Anakin, Dooku, Kenobi, Artew, Cithripio, Sith--all in one class. Cithripio is a real d*ck too if you misponounce his, ahem, "Italian" name, as he was told by the last teacher it was...

...and no, I'm not gonna ruin the joke, as I like Star Wars. I'm sure some teacher they have soon will end the fun.

Laughing that's awesome! whenever i do camps or extra classes i make up a new list of girl/boy names...which is fixed according to my fave tv show or movie at that time. helps me remember their names and gives me a good laugh. apparently i'm easily amused Very Happy
