I'll be finishing my contract in Korea in mid-Feb and now that I've got definite leave date, it's time to buy a plane ticket. Searched all day yesterday and today and for the life of me I can't find one that's less than $1700.
Has anyone else looked lately? If you have, are you finding the same prices? I just can't believe that I have to pay twice what I paid to get here for a return ticket.
Has anyone found a cheaper flight recently? |

Where are you looking and where are you going to?
My co-worker just booked tickets to Vancouver on Singapore air for 1.2 mil return.
I just checked and they have tickets ICN-SFO (non-stop) on Feb 23 for 773k won (tax included). It can't cost more than $1000 for a domestic flight from SFO to your home in the states.

If possible, try booking a flight to leave in March as I heard Korea's off-peak season starts then.. |

thanks for the help guys. I'm going to try the sites recommended after I finish writing. Waiting until march is what I want to avoid but otherwise that would have been a good tip =)
For the record, I'm trying to fly from Busan to Chicago and expect a connection if not a plane change somewhere. I'm also trying ot find something on Xanadu but no luck as of yet.
Thanks again. |

Doesn't KAL have a direct flight from Incheon to Chicago? |

819,000 plus tax on JAL. A change of plane in Tokyo, then direct to Chicago.
I searched for a one-way ticket leaving on Monday, 18th.
You will need a Korean to book it for you.
I've used this site many times and never have problems. |

Not sure of the exact number b/c a Korean is buying the ticket for me and I'm goint to pay him back on Monday. I believe he said it was $843...or may have been 843,000 won...I took one that goes direct from ICN to Atlanta then up to Chicago. Feel a lot better about having a plane change in the states than having one abroad.
Anywho, don't know why I couldn't find a cheap flight. Some friends told me they found one to England for ~$600 through xanadu. But even Xanadu told me their cheapest to CHI was around $1200 =\
Thanks again for your help! |
