Obama wrote:
Oh, he talks pretty, hes always talking about hope, hes so nave, hes idealistic, hes a hope-monger, its a fairy tale.

Bill called the press' treatment of Obama, particularly on the Iraq issue, a fairy tale. He didn't call Obama's campaign a fairy tale.

*waits for inane rebuttal by Dave's Obama-booster*

Kuros:

Once again you're off-base. Wearing a judge's robe in your avatar isn't going to make your case any more convincing.

I saw Clinton's response uncut and he did in fact insist that Obama was weaving a fairy tale.

So it's not just something MD concocted.

Bill is going to find out fast that if his wife wins the nomination, it will be open season on his record as president as well. He's co-cky enough to believe that he'll prevail in that eventuality but he forgets that it'll take his wife off-message and stir up a hornet's nest of animosity.

And stillnotking's picturesque scene is not only funny but apt:

Quote:
If the Dems nominate Hillary, they lose the general. Period. At least forty percent of America would crawl through barbed wire, uphill, in a blizzard, to pull the lever marked "Anyone But Hillary"

Steve,

This is just an elaborate "fairy tale" we are making up about the match up in the fall. Those who drink Hillary Clinton's Kool-aid can't complain six months from now when things get nasty. I'll have one word for them: hypocrite.

Questions for the Clintons

Quote:
Heres what Mr. Young, who is black and a former ambassador to the United Nations, had to say last month in an interview posted online: Bill is every bit as black as Barack. Hes probably gone with more black women than Barack.

He then went on to make disgusting comments about the way that Bill and Hillary Clinton defended themselves years ago against the fallout from the former presidents womanizing. Thats coming from the Clinton camp!

And then there was Bob Kerrey, the former senator and another Clinton supporter, who slimed up the campaign with the following comments:

Its probably not something that appeals to him, but I like the fact that his name is Barack Hussein Obama, and that his father was a Muslim and that his paternal grandmother is a Muslim. Theres a billion people on the planet that are Muslims, and I think that experience is a big deal.

Quote:
The Clinton camp knows what its doing, and its slimy maneuvers have been working. Bob Kerrey apologized and Andrew Young said at the time of his comment that he was just fooling around. But the damage to Senator Obama has been real, and so have the benefits to Senator Clinton of these and other lowlife tactics.

Quote:
It makes one wonder whether they have any understanding or regard for the corrosive long-term effects on their party and the nation of pitting people bitterly and unnecessarily against one another.

What kind of people are the Clintons? What role will Bill Clinton play in a new Clinton White House? Can they look beyond winning to a wounded nations need for healing and unifying?

Here's the Clinton tape.

The idea is that Hillary is taking this campaign into the gutter.

Give me a break. This is manufactured by the media, and I'm not surprised to see the Clinton-haters eat it up.
