I originally posted the whole thing verbatim in the contract section, but I'd rather not do that due to some clauses in it and it being my first time over in Korea. Anyways, check it out and thanks in advance!

Hours: 8 hours and 5 minutes Mon-Fri (No Sat or Sun)
- 6 hours of instruction, 2 hours of prep
- 1pm - 9:05 pm
- "To perform other duties as designated by Employer" I should probably figure out what these are.

Pay: 2.0 Mil Won (Actually we agreed on 2.2, so this is going to be changed...hopefully)
- On the 10th of each month
- 20,000 Won OT for 60 minutes of class after 40 classes per week
- Severance
- "Employee shall be paid an amount of _200,000 Korean Won per month as a Welfare and Pension Benefit to assist with Employees living expenses and his/her overall well-being. However, in the event Employee has to contribute to the Korean National Pension Corporation, a minimal amount (as determined by relevant laws) will be withheld from this benefit and used as the pension contribution by the Employer in addition to Employees contribution." Should Pension be totally separate?

-Two workshops on a Saturday (Won't get paid?!)
-Half Day conference (Wont get paid?!)

Quoting this: "National holidays shall not include any provisional holidays such as cultural, festival, or election days, set up temporarily. Employer shall decide whether to close the school or conduct classes for these days." That's some legal mumbo-jumbo to me.

Housing (Some of this is killing me)

- Rent and deposit paid by employer
- Furnished
- "Employer shall deduct a security deposit of 300,000 won for utility bills. 150,000 won will be deducted by the employer from the first salary and the second salary. The deposit will be paid back after your last months utility bills have been settled by the employer." Is this standard?
- "Housing selected by Employer may include, but might not be limited to, a leased house, studio, or an apartment that will be shared by two or three other Employees. Any and all fees, charges, costs, taxes, expenses, etc., incurred in using the housing shall be paid by Employee." Shared?

Airfare:
- employer pays after I pass the medical exam, also pays for return trip

Medical:
- "Employer shall provide Employee with medical insurance through an insurance company."
Not National?
- Health check within 10 days of landing

Vacation:
- 10 days (employer decides when), 5 days sick (must be approved, needs medical certificate)
- See above for National Holidays

I'm very wary about this. I emailed 2 current employees and I'm waiting for a response. What do you guys think? Anything you see I should look into? I know there are a few up there, but what can be done about it.

I was told the salary would be 2.2 mil. Should that be the standard base pay, then pension, medical, "welfare clause" comes out of that? I'm just a little lost with this one.

If it OK with anyone, can I PM you the entire contract and have you look at it?

Thanks again.
