Hi, I'm new to this forum, although I've been lurking for awhile and I'm wondering about the availability of Benzaclin and Retin a or Tazorac. I did search, but most of the other threads related to more serious medications.

These medications have worked wonders on my skin and with them I very rarely get pimples whereas before I had constant cystic acne. I've gone a couple of weeks here and there without the meds since I'm a serious procrastinator and broke out both times, vowing to never go without until the condition of my skin changes. Anyway, so does anyone know how much these meds are and their avilability. I reckon I'll get refills on both while I still have my insurance, but can't exactly get enough to last a year.

Anyway, so anyone know about the availability and price? I may end up buying some cheap through a mail order company or something if they cost an arm and a leg or something...

Oh, and I use Night n Day contact lenses (totally awesome, you leave them in the the entire month, except for taking them out once a week to let your eyes breathe). Does anyone know about their availability and pricing? Should I just order the year's supply now and get it over with?

Thanks in advance for any responses. Smile

First, even if you are using night/days - you should still take them off whenever you can. Just ask one of my friends who was an avid night/day user and now has blocked tear ducts (can't tear up at all) and an astigmatism.

Anyways, when I was a pimply faced high school kid - I came across a daily routine that clears up your acne ... and keeps it away. It's brilliant.

Do the following every morning (and night if desired):

Wash your face with a non-comedogenic face wash - being careful not to scrub. Buy yourself an acne medication with 2.5-10% benzoyl peroxide and wipe it all over your face. Give it 5-10 minutes to absorb into your skin. Finally use a face moisturizer (Neutrogena has good products), with alpha hydroxy and SPF 15.

Who needs a prescription?

If you're asking that, you've never experienced a major problem with acne. Soap and benzoyl peroxide just don't cut it for many people. People don't have cystic acne or take serious meds because they couldn't be bothered to wash their face.

my ex gf acne medication was to cover her face in my cum for 5 minutes. She had no acne. It was fun for me. They even made qa Nip/Tuck show about ejaculate being great for the skin.

Well thanks for the response, but I actually tried that. I tried the no makeup at all thing and the proactiv thing and many other kits. The only thing that works for me is the prescriptions, unfortuantely Sad I'm the only one of my siblings with problem skin so I wonder where I get it from since diet and water consumption doesn't effect it.

Anyway, again thanks for all responses.

Um, I use this method occasionally. With good results.

I'm female.

Somewhat distantly related, does anyone know if there is a Korean dentist/orthodontist who does Invisalign braces in Seoul? I assume there must be.

anabolina:
Retin-A is available at 400 won per tablet and a prescription is required.

If you'd like me to recommend a good english dermatologist send me a pm.

Bryan:
I can recommend an orthodontist at our center. He can help you with invisalign braces. Send a pm if you'd like a referral.

If you can't convince her yourself, you need to work on your game.

How's the price on gmarket? If you order it thru the proactiv site, I think it's at least $50 for the toner/cleanser/lotion combo or so (it's worth it, IMO). I like it a lot and thinks it works quite well. I found out about it cuz lots of the women at my company pick it up when they are in LA (apparently they sell it at the hotel they stay at). Wink
