|
|
I'm flying to Los Angeles in a couple weeks for a vacation, haven't gotten my re-entry permit yet. How do I get that at Immi? I'm going through Suwon immigration, by the way, where they speak NO ENGLISH. (Herd to believe? I
m told even the Korean-language media has been doing stories on Suwon Immigration's notweworth problem...) So, what do I ask them for. If anyone knows the proper Korean words for "re-entry permit", post them here or PM them to me. How far in advance do I have to request the re-entry permit? I know I'm cutting it close.... |

Relax. They'll have one form in multiple languages readily at hand for you to fill out. One day in advance is sufficient. |

That's pretty cool. The next question though--- how do I ask for it in Korean? I could try asking in English, but there's no guarantee I'd be understood, and when I blow an entire day going to Suwon and back, you can betcher ass I want guaranteed success. |

The application form is bilingual. Check the box for re-entry permit.
The alternative is to get it at the airport on the way out. Takes about 30 minutes. |

The immigration office is located in a small hallway, along the back wall, behind check-in "F" on the departures level of the airport (before you go through security). |
