I read a review that called this a fairy tale, with childhood innocence left unscarred by a teenage pregnancy.

As long as you can accept this as an unrealistic fantasy there's a lot to enjoy here - good characters, great soundtrack and a happy ending. It's not realistic, but how many movies really are?

Juno can be found here - I'm at work so cant check the quiality of the link. You can watch some of the movie before downloading. New movies are added regularly, and the quality is generally very good.

Enjoy

Stop wasting time with torrents and low budget websites. Get yourself into newsgroups.

I saw they have the dvd screener out on there. 10mins later it will be on my hard drive.

I didn't get that and perhaps most of the viewing public didn't as well.

Call this movie a modern day farce?

Yeah, I don't think a country with the highest teenage pregnancy rates among wealthy nations ought to be making comedies about it. Oh, I forgot, these teenage girls are "sexually liberated." My bad. Another example of why my country sucks. Sad

Newsgroups:

You basically need 3 things:
1) a site that sorts what is posted there and lets you grab a NZB file so it is easier for you to download. Google NZB and you will find such sites.
2) you need a program that will load the NZB file so it is easy for you to download
3) you need a news server to download from. I pay for one because I want retention and fast speeds. A couple recommended are:

www.usenetserver.com or www.giganews.com

I think we talked about this before in the tech forum...do a search.

I find the language of the movie to be pretty fake. I can't believe that people talk like these guys do.

Also, is Penny Saver just a Canadian thing or do they have that in the states too?

I'm pretty sure it's set in the Twin Cities area, judging by the suburbs they talk about.

They filmed scenes in Canada, but the license plates on the cars aren't Canadian.

The mall scene was in Canada for example.

I think they want to project that it is in America, yet the guy who wrote it is Canadian?

I don't get why it was nominated for best picture...

It's been out on the torrents for a few weeks ago with great quality. Look for "xvid-hls" or something similar.

I thought it was very good. 9/10. I've seen far worse movies get more absurd attention (river runs through it, english patient..)

Nearly all of it was Vancouver/Burnaby.

Did anyone mention this film will be opening in Korea soon? I saw a poster for it at Yongsan CGV.
