Actually my internet connection is very fast. I will often visit a website and it will take ages for a page to load. This is quite annoying when I visit this site regularly www.thaivisa.com/forum

What I see in the status bar in Firefox and IE is:

Connecting to pagead2.googlesyndication.com

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this.

If you want to block ads on firefox, install this plugin:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/10

this should speed things up + get rid of those annoying ads.
