After work finished I was going to meet my gf up in Jonggak, and I went to grab a taxi, when one of my coworkers (who has met my gf a whole of two times) says "Say Hi to her for me". Being polite I say "Sure thing". Of course as I finished the little white lie I wondered, would most people say hi for them? I mean if I was on the phone and she had asked, her presence in the room would necessitate the courtesy of actually, saying Hi. But with her not being there, and there being no relationship between her and my gf, I figured why bother? Of course why not either? My only response to the question, would be that it would be pointless to insert her greeting into an otherwise naturally flowing conversation. Even had my coworker and my gf been close friends, do I really need to say hi on behalf of her? If you need to take the time to tell me to say hi, cant you at least text message yourself?

So really who does say hi?

I think you're looking way to into it. Your coworker was just being polite. Tell your gf she said Hi if you remember it. Your gf should just think she's being nice and respectful. Don't sweat it, of course, unless you think the co-worker has the hots for you and your gf is the jealous type Very Happy
