I'm seriously considering coming to S. Korea to teach English, but I was hoping on visiting a few places, during vacation times, if finance permits:
I'd like to visit Hong Kong to see one of my university buddies who lives there, and possibly the Philippines to visit a child sponsor (the organization apparently arranges this, but I'd still like a guestimate as to flight fares).
My idea is to possibly visit my friend in Hong Kong, and maybe zip down to the Philippines for a day or two (I haven't thought out the details too much, but I like to think and plan ahead).
If this trip is too expensive, I'd like to know before I get excited about planning something. If it is feasible, I'd like to plan out finances and start saving my money.
Would it be cheaper to do these trips together?
>Hong Kong is pretty close to the Philippines.
What would you say an average cost would be to fly between:
S. Korea and Hong Kong?

Flying on a traditional holiday from Korea to HongKong - 700-900k won.
Normal fares outside of the holiday periods - 350-500k won.
Flights on airlines like Cebu Pacific can run as low as US$100 and an average of $250 round trip HongKong to Cebu or HK-Manila.
Alternatively, Seoul-Manila can run as low as $400, average $550 and peak at close to $900.

Don't forget, flights from Incheon to the Philippine cities of Davao or Kalibo are now available from Asian Spirit. |

I just got back from Hong Kong and the Phillipines. I went via Cathay Pacific (which I will never fly with again) for about 620,000 |
