Anyone know a cheap clinic in Gwangju? I'll be there on Friday and Saturday and want to make sure I didn't pick up AIDS in Thailand...
Anyone know some details? Like the cost and location how long it takes and whether I need an appointment and if any speak English, etc?
Thankyee. |

Body & Soul clinic, across the intersection from the North District Office, about W100,000, don't need an appointment.
Dr. is kind of a jerk but speaks excellent English. |

Thanks. But yikes... 100,000W? I know it's a hell of a lot cheaper than America, but I've heard of people doing it here for like 20,000.
Hey, and do you know what subway stop it's off of? I don't know Gwangju very well... all I know is that cute little downtown section with the Starbucks and whatnot. |

May be less if you have insurance.
Subway doesn't go to that part of town. How are you coming to Gwangju? Bus 38 from the bus terminal or 7 from the train station. Or "buk-gu-jeong" in a taxi.
Can also go to any public health center (there's one across the street from the clinic I mentioned,) but you need to get an appointment for the next day, and I don't think they are open on Saturdays, so wouldn't work with your Fri.-Sat. schedule. Dirt cheap there, but they speak NO English. |

Thanks again. Maybe I'll just check out one of the public health clinics on Friday and make an appointment for the following Friday. I come to Gwanju every weekend. Do you know if they are any in the downtown area? Language isn't a problem- I'll be with a Korean. |

I assume every gu has one. There is one next to the north district office...might there be one next to the east district office, downtown? Sorry, don't know anything more definite than that. Good luck! |
