Actually they were bonded to the land, meaning they were the legal `property` of their manor lord. In other words, slaves.

be careful you will need to show scientific evidence of that claim!
the merriam- webster dictionary, Wikipedia or other related books are not enough unless you can scientifically prove to them that a SERF is infact a slave bound to its land.. so until then a serf is a middle class man!

but then again racetraitor, mind me too cant prove it either..
but because they are the most arrogant posters on this board they will fight your claim to not lose face.. watch there next posts..they wont agree with you they will just try and spin it around.... Rolling Eyes

you are dealing with snot nose little brats in kindergarten!

Hey just because you were raised in poverty doesnt mean the rest of us were!

Why do you persist in following an English message board when it is clear to everyone you can't grasp English or basic ideas?

I think you and I had different education up bringings!! I actually went to school!
ou were home schooled by people who hated the world and gave you a bad education! And anyone listening to your pod cast will agree!!
You have a warped view of the world buddy.. You shouldnt have had that extra acid trip..

Again. No. Which I clearly laid out at the top. The average person in the middle ages did not have access to ANY parasite free food or even a guaranteed food source. Even into the 19th century when France and England were the two richest nations in the world, there were still famines within those countries. You and Bill Gates can put get pepper cheaply. Think you could get pepper for your rotting meat if you were the average person in the middle ages?

you laid out a word which you clearly dont understand!
Before you use words that you dont understand its best to check the meaning of them first! Rolling Eyes

The cornerstones of modern medicine that allow us all to live until 80 (to repeat, indoor plumbing, vaccines, antibiotics, and a safe food supply) were unavailable to the average person. A course in the middle ages even a king didn't have access to vaccines and antibiotics however the other two, clean water and better food are still relevant

Its now clear to everyone here that you are miss using the word SERF!
So your posts are nothing more than drivel!

My dad was (and still is) a professor of medicine at McGill University. And my mother was (retired) a teacher. Not really poverty.

I agree with the premise of the OP, but I would like to point out, a serf in a kindgom would have a better health plan than I (an American in America) would.
