i was just reading the thread about why you shouldn't accept below this and that amount of won per hour if you work through a recruiter because the recruiter is often making more money than you are for doing next to nothing.
if my wife were to be my recruiter, then...
does anyone know what it takes to get a recruiter's liscense? it was no act of wizardry that led me down the path to this idea. it's a pretty obvious one, which i'm sure has occurred to a lot of you f-visa folks. so, has anyone's spouse done this? how difficult was it? what's involved? |

| A better question would be...what would you or your wife do that would set you apart from the other recruiters out there? |

your wife or you needs to pass a massive test (4 huge textbooks to basically memorize) or have 2 years experience in recruiting to get a license.
good luck. |

Recruiting companies for corporations take cuts because they are supposed to provide materials and have contacts with companies. They make all of the arrangements and set you up with work and you do the teaching.
If your wife is tied in with lots of companies, she doesn't really need to be a qualified recruiter to cut out the middleman. Just pimp yourself to places and undercut what recruitment companies in the area charge while overcutting what they pay their teachers, and you might get lucky and strike a few lucrative deals.
If she doesn't have these ties but gets the creds, it might take a while to build up a base for yourself.

Talking out your arse I see.
It takes quite a bit of paperwork and mucking around but there is no test involved. |
