Is this pc worth the $$$ or can i get one cheaper here in korea?

um... you should avoid any advertisements that displays the speed of dual cores as one ( 6,400 MHz?! it's really a 3.2Ghz x 2 ).

performance wise, you would get more bang for the buck with an intel quad. Someone mentioned on another post about how well the intel wolfdale 45 nm overclocks on stock air cooler.

check out this guide. you can get an estimate on how much everything will cost in Korea.

NOTE: if you get 8 gigs of RAM you have to get the 64 bit Windows Vista as that is the only windows OS that supports that much RAM.

Sorry, but the VGAs alone would kill the deal for me. 8500s in a machine with 8GBs of RAM? That's like putting a Ferrari engine into a Pinto!

You could build better here, I don't have time to go into details, but I'm sure others will chip in.

Don't you mean putting a pinto engine in a Ferrari?


Anyway, you could probably build better than that over here, but you can definitely build better in the states.

Find the parts you need, buy them all off the internet (pricewatch.com, froogle etc) put it together.
