I need to buy a round trip ticket from Seoul to London for a January departure. Right now I'm in the States, and I can't find anything affordable. Will I find a better deal in Seoul? I've tried to contact a few of the travel agents in various threads, but I've had no luck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's not Seoul-London, but me and my wife booked tickets from Seoul-Glasgow (that's Seoul-Amsterdam and then Amsterdam-Glasgow both with KLM), and it came in at W1,200,000 return each.
My wife booked it through a Korean travel agency, but STA Travel offered the same prices in their Seoul branch.

I flew JAL and stayed overnight in Tokyo last summer. The price was considerably cheaper than the other airlines. The most expensive is Korean Air direct to london. I've also taken British Airways via Narita for a decent price.

I've booked my ticket through VST-- only 750,000 plus tax. That's half what I would pay through Expedia.

I'll be tranfering in Beijing and then flying to Copenhagen.

The travel agent is wondering if I'll need a visa for China?

I don't think I will, since I'm only transfering, not visiting.

Has anyone tranferred in Beijing?

Your travel agent is wondering? Usually they just know this kind of stuff already. They are suppose to be the informed ones.

As far as I know you can always transfer at international airports as long as you don't leave the airport. Unless China has some really strange system where you go through immigration before and after transfer flights, you shouldn't have to worry about this. (Generally you get off your plane and just go to your transfer location in 99.999999% of the world without going through immigration).

Either China is really an exception to this rule, or your travel agent is extremely unknowledeable in regards to travel. So I would assume that you almost definetely do not a China visa to transfer flights. (The only exception being that you intend to leave the airport of Beijing.. in which case you definetely need a visa to do that).

Go to any travel agent and ask how much it is with ANA (All Nippon Airways). I piad 500,00 plus 50,000 tax but it's a 20 hour stop over in Tokyo. Hope it helps.
