I am about to move in to a small unfurnished appartment. I have to buy my own furniture.
I don't like western beds and have recently used a futon and found that fine.
My question is - what is a typical Korean bed like? What bits do you have to buy and how much do they cost?
Finally - how comfortable is it compared to a futon?
Cheers.

A bed in Korea is called a "YO" and it resembles a Futon.

Cheap yo run about 20000, synthetic fill. For 10000 more you get cotton fill (korean: 'co-ton') & theyre a bit plumper & quite comfy. Thinner than a futon so if thats too firm, buy 2. |

haven't seen any that cheap.....not saying they're not available...just haven't seen em.
You can spend alot of money for a decent one. Can't remember exact prices but remember the ones I saw being out of my price range......maybe closer to 100 000won, maybe more.... |
