Do the announcers still call the winning team of the Superbore the
"World Champions"? That is so lame. |

What other country's team would you match up against the Pats?
This is pretty similar to the BS you hear about MLB. Cohiba, you do know that the most talented male athletes who play hockey (mostly), baseball, basketball and American football all play in the U.S., right?
(I left out soccer, because American women kick ass on the world stage at that sport. Do you know why? Because it is a womens' sport.)
Get over it already. |

None of course, because no other country plays the same game. That's the point. It is stupid to call the winner of a domestic-only competition 'world champs'.
The USA is a great country, but stupidity sucks - anywhere you see it. |

Well, if you don't like it then put together a squad and challenge them!
(I see your point. I just feel like being difficult/obtuse) |

You'd have a better argument if this was baseball or basketball. |

That's what I was thinking. Those two sports are played all over the world. American football? No.
And it's funny. More so with the NBA. They always say "World Champions." That's a load of horsesh1t. MLB's is World Series, but I don't think they ever say "World Champions."
Anyway, I don't think I've ever heard anyone call the Super Bowl champions the world champions. It's just Super Bowl champions and it's probably the most watched championship in the world every year. |
