It's highly unlikely that Yoo committed the rainy Thursday murders.

Most of Yoo Young-chuls alleged murders were committed either in his victims or his own residence. Seemingly they show a killer who was meticulous and a low risk taker who did not want to be caught in the act.

Most of the rainy Thursday evenings/Friday mornings homicides however have occurred outside; they have been opportunistic, high-risk killings in which the perpetrator has had the chance of being discovered by a member of the public at any time.

The differing modus operandi of these two cases indicates that the perpetrators have a differing psychological mindset, and so it is likely we are dealing with different killers.

Investigators, the media and general members of the public are hoping that with the capture of Yoo Young-chul so the rainy Thursday evening/Friday mornings homicides will also end, but do not breathe a sigh of relief just yet. It is likely he is still out there.

It really took off in the mid-90s some time. Do a google on "serial killer chic", and see what you find.

What about this freak:

Quote:
Woo Bum-kon (February 24, 1955 April 27, 1982) was a Korean police officer who carried out the largest known incident of spree killing in modern history. After the rampage concluded, 58 people (including himself) were dead and 35 were wounded in Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea.

he was pissed. koreans shouldn't have guns. they get ticked off to easily. In america when you start shooting, at least someone might draw on you. Here you really could just go and shoot people until the army shows up.
