When I win, you're all going to owe me 2 beers each after I move to Seoul next month. Can't wait.

BIG SEXY ASS DAVE'S SUPERBOWL SHOWDOWN

rules!

pick the winner and the total combined points scored by both teams. whoever is closer wins...

example: if you pick, New England 35

that means you are picking New England to win and the total score of the game is, say, New England 21 to New york 14

21 + 14 = 35

the players / the picks

Newbie:

Hanson: New England 51

blurgalurgalurga: New york Giants 56

yingwenlaoshi: New England 54

**NOTE - ONLY the TOP 4 winners are permitted to participate in this championship finale. the rest of you can go vote in the poll or go *beep* yourselves.**

good luck, winners... Cool

it's as easy as that...

How about them apples?

I'm kinda happy the Giants took it - the Pats were too confident, cocky and play a little dirty... Also, a good SuperBowl all the way to the end. Very Happy

Congrats, Burglurglurg, you "nailed" it!

Actually, PLaxico came very close to nailing it. I think he predicted a 21-17 win. I was rooting for the Pats, but that was a great game. Haven't seen a great SB in a while. I was puzzled by the way the Pats played in the first half. They seemed to have abandoned their underneath game and threw only screens and bombs.
Also, I don't see how either the Giants or the Pats could put single coverage on the opposing teams best/tallest receiver in the red zone in the waning moments of the game. Both Moss and Burress caught uncontested TDs.
I haven't seen yet, but my guess is that they will give the MVP to Manning. It's too bad that the QB is always the default MVP when no other single player stands out. I thought the Giants' front 7 won that game. Brady looked battered and beaten.
Congrats to the Giants. I always thought Coughlin got a bad rap.

One of the best games I've ever seen. As a Miami Dolphins fan, I'm especially happy about the outcome, but would have been impressed no matter who won it.
