Please vote for where you first met your Korean partner (including ex-boyfriends/girlfriends etc.) and add any interesting additional information or anecdotes... |

She was my student. I married her & we feel 0% guilt about what others might think.
In fact, I consider myself very very very lucky to have found her.

The year was 1996, she was doing translation work and we met while I was waiting on her to finish the script that I was doing the male voice for.
Then I said to her..."In about 12 years, there's going to be an F2/F5 visa and I need to get married so I can avoid the E2 problems that everyone will have to go through, so will you marry me for a visa?"
Then her dad almost had us both killed via the Korean mafia when I got back home to wait for her. That story is too long to tell here. |

Da bang - I paid a hooker to marry me for the F5.
Na, just kidding.

I was doing sit-ups at my gym when I noticed this girl looking at me.
She waved at me and I smiled back. The first conversation was a little awkward, but we chatted it up for a couple of weeks.
Finally we went out on a date to a seafood restaurant and have been dating ever since. |

Worked together...
Manager and owner told my wife and another Korean co-worker that they absolutely had to stop hanging out with me and my American buddy. As well, that if they really wanted to go out with foreigners, they should stick to the Kyopo we were working with. They ignored them. Now we're all married and both couples have a baby. |

I met mine at my first hogwan. We had to keep it a secret for a while .. then we got busted. The director's wife said I was white trash and would dump her in a year and leave her with nothing but a tarnished reputation. Now her husband is 750 million won in debt and drives an academy car while his princess wife works at LotteMart pawning second rate clothes. Sorry If I seem bitter, but the director's wife is an extremely racist b!tch that did not make my life better by any means. |

Haven't met anyone with a similar meeting as mine.
I was on my way home from a date with a girl I was planning on dumping and I got on the 마을 bus where there was only one seat. Part way through the ride home the girl sitting there asked me where I was going. We hit it off, dated for 3 years and have now been married for almost 7.5 years. |
