He has a point though. can you really see a bunch of africans playing hockey or south americans? I like it for it's tougness and the fact you have to have a pretty large skill set to play well but "goldensport here to cure the world of childhood/teenage obnesity" it ain't and regardless of whatever magic the wicked witch from the north comes up with, would never be.

Playing and watching are two different things . I watch rugby and cricket 'cause I was conditioned into it through nationalisitc fervor , but they are lame to play . Hockey might be fun to play...I don't know...I can hardly skate...but its' super lame to watch . |

This thread has turned out exactly as I thought.....hockey is great and soccer is crap.
Well, newsflash....soccer is the most popular sport in the world because it is good, whereas hockey is not the most popular sport in the world because it is crap.
I hope this is crystal clear now, because being bored to death about hockey and anything whatsoever connected with Canadian nationalism is amongst the many reasons Canadians are universally despised. |

What did you expect in a post titled Soccer is Bullsh!t? Undying acquiescence to a game that can be played for ninety minutes and longer, end with a nil/ nil score and be considered one of the greatest games ever played?
