Do you teach your students to form sentences like the above. I live in Seoul, not a big deal, really. |

Koreans voted Seogwipo as the best city to live, and I'd have to agree. |

After Peru, I'm coming back here and to Seoul where me and Endo will be painting the town in the shade of red that you can only get from a Korean virgin's tampon!
Korean women yes!

Bejarano-korea, where do you live exactly? There are nice Korean ladies all over the Bando and many of them are either bored or lonely and lookin' for some lovin'. Seoul is not the be-all and end-all as far as women here are concerned.

I loved Andong, even though I only spent 2 days there. And I've travelled around Korea quite a bit. |

Of course if your employer is paying for housing, cost of living isn't an issue in Seoul. So if you want western food, the ability to date girls, and a somewhat modern culture, Seoul is your only choice. |
Pusan is another choice. |

Busan is one of the farthest cities on the peninsula from Seoul. It's somewhat better than Daegu and the other big cities, but I couldn't imagine living there. |

What about Suwon? I'm moving there in about 2 weeks (as you may be able to tell from my user name), so I'm curious.
1) Is it generally a good area, as far as any of you are aware?
2) Does it really take an hour to get to Seoul from Suwon?
3) Are there Western girls there or Korean girls willing to date foreigners? (that may sound like an adolescent question, but one-two years is a long time) |

1) Yes, it is a good area. There is a lot going on I find, especially in the summer. It's a great place to walk if you're into such things (the fortress is nice) and there is plenty of other things to do. I definitely found Suwon to be one of the more "funky" cities in Korea; less sanitised with more flavour.
2) Yes, it does. I just went from Beomgye to Seoul today on the subway (in Seoul now), and it took close to fifty minutes (I went to Yongsan). From Suwon it'd probably take around an hour to do the same thing.
3) Yes, same as other places. You might have to try using the internet to find an english speaking girl of course, but it is possible. Be careful, though, from what I've heard there is a large Christian population in Seoul and Christians in Korea aren't exactly like Christians back home. They'll try to convert you.
Before I met my girlfriend I went on one date and it was with a Christian girl from Suwon. It did not go well (two reasons: her forcing her religion on me and the fact that she was annoying). |
