As English spakers we can chat with people from many countries in English.
I guess for Koreans with no English, it is an excellent chance for them to hear foreigners speak their viewpoints.

My co-teacher told me that she was astonished when the Italian girl (home of pizza)said, "In Italy we don't serve pickle with pizza." She had always assumed that round the world, pickle accompanies pizza. Very Happy

While channel hopping, I can understand the Korean spoken on this show more than any other. After a minute though, I've had enough.

Why because white men are out of the picture? Rolling Eyes

its refreshing. like tupac.

Ah, the jealousy LOL

no more....same production company have just made a "chatting with white blokes"
i was approached to be in it,but i turned it down for 2 reasons:

1.it is counter productive to korea appearing to have advanced.
it is in all our interests to end koreas 19th century "gawping at foreigner" mentality.
2.there was a pre condition that i didnt say anything too negative about sparkle-ville.

the programme should be aired this week, tho gawd knows where they managed to find enough performing monkeys to BS about the Hub.

i would imagine, like me, most "foreigners"outside the ESL industry, turned it down.
there will probably be a large proportion of confused mixed race half-korean wacks on there acceptably fibbing about the "motherland " with a couple of "whites" in the background, smirking to themselves taking the money n running.
ps.the money offered was total crap too..low production values dominate in K tv, chatting with monkeys is cheap progaming.

So... when does Propoganda TV start subtitling the show and sending it out to the international unwashed masses?

We don't hate the show as much as we hate you, JAD.

Debate over.

Stop pretending to be stupid.

Or are you being genuine? Which are you: stupid or fake?

justanothergyopo knows all this already...here is a response to his thread started on the same subject 6 MONTHS AGO on asiafinest.com

This show is really offensive. Anyone care to take a guess what would happen in Korea if a bunch of white Americans or a bunch of Chinese guys take a bunch of Korean beauties and ask them their opinions (which is really fishing for compliments) on Nigerian men, in an ongoing show series? Beejusus, do I shudder to think what happen. To be fair, what are those bimbos doing on this show? Why are they pandering and participating in this circus so that Koreans can gawk at foreigner animals and be amused, as if they're in a zoo?

and another response to JAD,same page...

..... knew what this show was all about as soon as I saw the first episode. That idiot prancing around on the stage, acting and grunting like an African baboon - directing his patronizing contempt at that African girl. How can anybody find that funny is beyond me.

so,over there his schizophrenic roleplaying manifests itself as
NOT white but korean, attacks whites continually and drops the high powered finance gig.

in fact he seems very messed up young korean/american indeed.

http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t143926.html

on asia finest forums this week he has admitted to being severly depressed and an alchoholic

yea i guess lately i just like soju or whiskey (for clubbin)... or wine sometimes... but people who try to act like they know all this wine annoy me like crazy tho!

i think this past two three weeks... drank the most since freshman year in college... usually i'll drink until everything gets hazy and i don't hold back on antyhign i say...

and here is ONE of JAD,s threads attacking daves and calling for police action against daves posters.
then he looses the plot and thinks posters who say negative things about korea should be kidnapped by a nationalist korean group (i guess JAD the god would be its leader Laughing )

i could go on for months, but loads of entertainment can be found.

he double posts the IDENTICAL topics, themes here and there..but over there with his mainly korean audience, he uses a different more extreme racist/sexist approach..
just google justanotherday and asiafinest combo, and youve got a comedy hour.

The guys are all in their early twenties and at least a few of them are Korean or half-Korean.

A Koren recruiter - a woman - asked me to be on the show but told me to take a hike when she found out that I'm more than thirty years old.
