i know i've read about it on here before, but was unable to find it. i've managed to get the red ring on my xbox 360. it is missing the top right section of the ring. but i'm still fuxed right? its modded. so what are my options here? do you think maybe a witch doctor could fix it up to run like bernie did? help.

The RROD is all ring not three quarters

You need to find out what the problem is. If it still has the warranty sticker under the faceplate you can give it a go. Call the lady up and tell her it's all red, won't work, ect.

If they send it back unfixed then they send it back unfixed. nothing to lose.

It sounds like it red ringed call for support. I would suggest removing the modchip before sending it in.

if you already took apart the case and the "microsoft" label is broken, you are kinda screwed though.

i could use for spare parts if you are willing to sell it...

A mate's 360 got the red ring. Turned out to be a fried graphics chip. One of those stores that sells and mods consoles installed another graphics chip and modified it to stay cool better.
It might be a fairly common problem. I have seen aftermarket cooling fans that plug into the USB socket.

Have fun with xbox support, they are easily the worst support group I have ever dealt with. They told me it might be 3 months to replace a 360 in north America. Totally unacceptable, they knew it was BS too. I had the exact same thing happen. Good luck to you though.

Are you sure it didn't eat too much spicy food? Gives me a red ring every time!
