Hey...was wondering if anyone knew the best place to buy an HD TV...looking for something around 42 inches....pdp, plasma, lcd...don't really care....be nice to pick up something fairly cheap....anyone know if any of the big box stores sell demo models or if thats even worth it??

i've heard that some of the really cheap tvs off the internet are tvs that people have already rejected. Maybe due to small scratches or other minor faults. my wife and i just picked up ours from lotte department store. they had a special promotion and we paid in cash and that dropped the price by more than 30%. That made it cheaper than homeplus and just a little bit more expensive than buying it from the cheapest website. one day I will get around to checking out it's price in some other stores but I don't think I will find it any cheaper. if you do buy one try to get them to knock off around 5% for paying cash.

Or go to ETLand in Yongsan. Shop around, prices vary greatly.

NEVER buy from a Samsung or LG boutique store. They are overpriced, and will refuse to return your money if there are problems. You'll be stuck with only their products, no matter what goes wrong. You will not get "better service", you will find yourself with fewer options if there are problems.

Even if you buy from a seller on the internet, the TV will still be delivered by Samsung or LG or whomever. Just to let you know.... it's all the same. Just make sure the seller has lots of good feedback from others.

Internet prices can be as much as a million won less for the same TV!
