| It isn't far-fetched to say Obama would have voted against it. 21 Democratic senators did, including IL Senator Richard Durbin. |

I understand that but you said that Iraq would "guarantee" your vote for Clinton.
Now you're saying the Supreme Court is the reason. Fine...just seemed a bit confusing. |
No, I said that if Hillary is the nominee, Iraq would guarantee that I'd vote for her with my nose held. IOW, Iraq is a big reason not to vote for her, but not quite a big enough one. |

| And do you really think Obama would have voted in favor of the resolution? |
No way to know the answer to that. Vast majority of the Senate did, in fact, vote for the resolution, however.
What makes you think that Obama might have known all that we knew in 2004ish in late-2002/early-2003...? |
Perhaps the fact that he was an outspoken critic of the war at that time?
As a party and a country, we need to stop underestimating the guts it took to speak out against invading Iraq during the run-up to war. Politicians, national or otherwise, who came out against it were widely vilified and sneered at by the "liberal" MSM.
My favorite moment? Watching Tim Russert all but call Hunter Thompson a lunatic, while Thompson was the only man in the room making any sense at all. Most of the country went slightly crazy in '02-'03; all the more reason to trust the judgment of the ones that didn't. |

Yep, that's why I definitely suspect the judgment of those that call Ron Paul weak on foreign policy while supporting someone else that was either duped into supporting or actively supported the war in Iraq.
Here's Ron Paul in 2002, 100% correct:

Paul doesn't understand why AQ fights and his opposition to funding for alternative energy shows he is clueless on US national security.
Also Paul opposed the first gulf war which meant that Saddam gets nuclear weapons. |
