For the first time, I'm thinking McCain actually is better than Mitt for Democrats.

Mainly because Mitt Romney has one of the greatest smear campaigns I've seen in a long time against his components (well, quite similar to Bush's actually). Which would basically mean a real mess later whoever Mitt is head-to-head with if he were to be nominted. Like Kerry did, the Dem would have to constantly battle disinformation than real issues.

What I do like about McCain is he is more about issues, and the Dems can go up against that rather than fighting continous misinformation.

SIMI VALLEY, California (CNN) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will announce Thursday he is endorsing Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, two GOP sources familiar with the situation told CNN.

Schwarzenegger will make the announcement in California, a day after the four Republican candidates debated at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.

McCain is also set to receive the endorsements of Georgia's two Republican senators, Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss, in the next two days, according to two GOP sources involved in the planning.

California and Georgia are two of the 22 states holding nominating contests on Super Tuesday next week.

Schwarzenegger's endorsement could be a key to McCain winning California's 170 delegates. Florida Gov. Charlie Crist's endorsement of the Arizona senator was cited in exit polls as a key to his winning there...

Yeah, i read that somewhere else tonight. Yuck. That would be a really dumb move by McCain if he chose Lieberman as VP. That's more than just shooting yourself in your foot; that's straight-up political suicide.

I think McCain's best choice is actually a governor, preferably from the South. There has been some talk it would be Charlie Crist . I reckon they might be right.

I've also heard rumors about MN governor Tim Pawlenty

While MN traditionally goes towards the democrats, it (and other states in the Midwest) might be tilted to the GOP if he's the VP nominee.

Ah, yes. Minnesota is a Democratic stronghold.

Hence, University of Minnesota Law School (Pawlenty's alma mater):

McCain is too ugly to be the president. Plain and simple.

Since you are an inside job kind of guy, I'm not that surprised the level of your political analysis doesn't go any deeper than 'he's too ugly to be president'.

Bellisima. McCain is now the presumptive nominee.

The media buzz over McCain's VP pick now emerges front and center.

Who do you think he should pick, Gopher?

Do not know. But I will vote for him either way. Only a Clinton-Richardson ticket could possibly change my mind at this point. And I do not know what is going on on the Democratic side; looks an awful lot like a street-fight from here to the convention for them.

McCain has the best mind.

Seeing McCain in action, debating, fills me with awe and contentment. I don't believe for a second he'll win though. Many Republicans will vote Hillary and not McCain, should the former get the nomination.

Please tell me you're joking and I'm obtuse: you can't be serious about supporting Hillary, can you?
