That is, he is advocating it.

The Archbishop of Canterbury has today said that the adoption of Islamic Sharia law in the UK is "unavoidable" and that it would help maintain social cohesion.

Rowan Williams told BBC Radio 4's World At One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.

He says Muslims should not have to choose between "the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty".

Well, I guess selling muslim women down the river for the sake of "cohesion" is perfectly reasonable.

He also mentioned some boundaries, he's not advocating the crazy stuff SOME muslims do. Anyways, I don' support it, I think we should all have to follow the same rules.

One country, two systems?

Dear God, that's not supposed to apply to the United Kingdom itself!

It started with the "islamophobes" (like me, apparently) asserting that tolerance would lead to this and the left calling us names. Now, they are admitting that a muslim population can't be brought into the wider culture without perpetual violence so they advocate sharia but want to 'set boundaries'. That will last 2 years or so, and then the state will just 100% back away from dealing with them at all and allow a parallel naiton to develop.

Holocaust Day marred by 'racist' stone-throwing

THE Holocaust Memorial Day marking the genocides of the 20th century was marred on Sunday when a gang of youths stoned Jewish tourists on a guided tour of London's East End.

A group of 96 visitors looking at sites of Jewish interest were attacked by youths hiding behind a fence in a back street in Whitechapel.

Two were struck by the missiles, an American woman just starting a new post at London's Metropolitan University and a Canadian lecturer.

The woman had blood pouring from her head and needed hospital treatment.

The tour was organised by leading local historian Clive Bettington, who was later asked by police if he wanted officers to accompany him in future, but declined.

"That would be admitting there are 'no go' areas," he said.

"I won't be intimidated. We have a right to walk our streets unmolested."

He has now written to Tower Hamlets chief executive Martin Smith for an urgent meeting.

Sunday's incident was outside a former Jewish maternity home in Underwood Road, now used as social services offices, which was on his tour as a place of interest where playwright Arnold Whesker and showbiz comedian Lionel Bart were born.

YOBS LAUGHED

An eye-witness said: "Stones started to come down on us and some in the group were scared and ducked.

"I looked over the fence and saw four Asian youths throwing stones. They were laughing, then ran away."

Some Asians in the police and in Government jobs have been accused of blocking the crackdown against so-called honour killings.

It is alleged they are not only failing to help desperate women trying to flee abuse and arranged marriages but are actively encouraging punishment for those they believe are breaking traditional taboos.

Terrified victims who seek official help are even being tracked down by a network of Asian men working in Government departments and social services, according to a study written by the think-tank Social Cohesion.

One woman was found by her family after she signed on at a Jobcentre where a member of the Asian community was working.

The report also claims some Asian police officers actually return women to their abusive families or refuse to act against men enforcing 'traditional' roles.

Meanwhile, non-Asian officials and police officers are scared of acting against families who abuse their relatives for fear of being branded as racist, the report says.

Tolerance of barbarians taken to an end. Britain now treats muslim women about as well as Iran.

I don't have a problem with two adults entering into arbitration using whatever system they wish, Robb's Rules, the bible, a dance off, jewish family law, whatever. Surely someone who wants the option to use an alternative currency wouldn't deny others the freedom to run their lives as they see fit, even if it give one the right to be amazingly stupid.

Of course, that won't be how it goes. The women will have no choice and the sharia system is sexism-as-law. So, yeah. I guess we can pretend it will be something it isn't.

Women already get into relationships in which they surrender their power to a man. I don't think it's the role of government to protect adults from being stupid. If such were true, we'd ban religion for starters.

As we see with honor killings, forced bedsheet wearing and the like, these women are not given a choice. The muslim community is dominated by evil old men who use violent young men to keep everybody in line. This is why you almost NEVER hear from "moderates". Bringing in sharia will only legitimize this situation and give it the facade of normalcy.

Britain is voluntarily giving up its muscle, bit by bit.

To be expected of course. The glory days of knowing whats right and wrong are long gone and the country has subsided into a directionless wimpy corner of the EU.

Gordon Brown, British Prime Minister, however said:

Gordon Brown's spokesman said the prime minister "believes that British laws should be based on British values". (.......)

As much as I would love nothing more than to see BBC/Guardian women wear the burqa, it's sadly never gonna happen. And when I say "as I would love nothing more" I mean it, since that is the only thing that will wake Europeans out of their dogmatic slumber and destroy the spectre that is haunting Europe.

Vote Conservative. Vote Republican. Vote anyone who wants to defend civilization against barbarianism, because no-one else wants to.

Civilization only for the civilized though, right? Freedom for the free? Platitudes for the platitudinal? Broad, emotionally-driven statements based on fear and paranoia for the fearful and paranoid? etc...
