Have you been in South Korea for near 10 years ?

What has kept you there?

Was the reason the same as when you went there?

I've been here for about 12 years.

I came for adventure/change and found it, most of the time.

I think so.

1. Over 12 years.

2. First, because I hadn't learned the language well enough. Second, it was easy to find a job.

3. I stay now because it's basically home.

8 years. Is that close enough?

Several reasons.

Number one:
I had trouble finding jobs in the United States.
I am what is known on this board as a "loser."

Number two:
I like kids, I'm a bachelor, and you know what that means in the United States.
Even with the Peter Jackson scare, sexual abuse hysteria here is nothing compared with what it is in the United States.
I was amazed the first time a met a parent and a child on the sidewalk and the parent ducked the child's head and said, "인사하지." In the United States, stranger equals danger.

Number three:
I've gotten involved in learning the language and learning the culture, and I'm hooked.

Yes and no.
I came over here for reason number one, quickly acquired reasn number two, and eventually acquired reason number three.

Don't be embarrassed. Lots of people can't recognize jokes on the internet.

1) I'll be here 10 years at the end of this summer.

2) Wife, kids(new), good job, easy money, great hours and great vacation.

3) Hell no. Came here for a year cause I was bored. Was having a good time so I stayed another year. This evil K-girl got her claws into me and kept me around for a while. Then she popped out twins. Guess I'm here til the little ones are old enough to go to high school.
