It had to happen, eventually. Oh, by the way, it also includes sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and raisins.

Kind of reminiscent of the Noahs Ark Pizza.

Wow, they're late to the story. The cookie crust has been around for at least 8 months.

I like how she wipes her nose. Say, they hardly touched the banchan on their table either. Let's just dump it on the next guy's pizza.

I saw this abomination:

Mmmmm. Pizza. shrimp, hot dogs, and blueberry dipping sauce.

I think Zenkimchi made a great point once. Koreans need to turn alien foods into candy. There's Korean food and there is candy.

How is blueberry sauce for pizza that different from mint jelly for lamb? Or jam on grilled cheese sandwiches ("toast-uh")?

I don't put mint jelly on lamb either. Or honey on my fried chicken.

I like how in the video they've got two white guys, presumably Italian, having an argument because of their inability to stop the Korean powerhouse in the competition.

White Guy A: Vat are you doooing?
White Guy B: Ah, shaddap your face. It's a hopeless. We cannot beat that Korean girl! Mamma Mia!

When I saw that in the commercial, I thought it was chocolate. It would have made sense, though.

Try our new cookie-topped pizza, with chocolate dipping sauce!

Korean Sandwiches, Pizzas, and Western-style Bakeries

This is one of those areas where I dont think some people are getting it. Many ex-pats and I have a constant frustration with pizzas, sandwiches, and the selections at Korean bakeries (the ones that try to make themselves look like Paris boulangerie).

My first and main criticism: why does everything have to be sweet?

Yes, that works fine on fruit pies and cinnamon buns. Yet strawberries in ham and cheese sandwiches? Sugar on a seafood tart? Kiwi sauce on a toasted bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich? Sweet potato puree in pizza? Sweet pickles with pizza, steak, and spaghetti?

Does every Western food have to be turned into candy for Korean public consumption?

Oh God, and then there was this cruel trick.

What looked like a normal fruit-filled pastry ended up being chewy rice cake with red bean paste surrounded by a clever pastry disguise. You know, if I wanted red bean-filled chewy rice cake, I woulda bought red bean-filled chewy rice cake. Is it so hard to get a simple apple pie?

I had crushed up nachos as a topping on a combination pizza recently. In the 4 years i've been here, that's the 1st time i've seen nachos on pizza.. though after reading this post it doesn't surprise me.

Back in Canada there's a pizza chain that offers baked apple on pizza crust that is just awesome!

Cookies on a dessert pizza sounds great. Very Happy
