I'm interested in MLB+ and the English World packages. Don't really care about the other channels. I guess it would be nice to order Dominoes over the TV and play games though.
Anyone had the MLB+ in the past? What was it like? |

I tried it 3 years ago, and most of the channels were translated into Korean, or had Korean voice-over dubs (I was so sad to see The History Channel and Discovery were like this). Also, the music channel packages were almost entirely made-up of elevator-style music or from bands you'd never heard of.
A word of warning is that it was like pulling teeth to get it removed after trying it for a few days. Even though they claimed I was cancelled, if you drop the service (as I did) they will still try to charge you. I had to cancel the bank account to keep this from happening. |

Bump.
I want, check that, I NEED to watch major league baseball over here. Is that what you mean by the MLB comment?
I get basic couple... have a few sports channels... but I'd kill to watch all the Red Sox games. Can anyone tell me more about this? How much does it cost? How simple is it to get installed? |

Can anyone expand on what channels come with this package? I've only got the standard Korean channels, which has about 3/4 English speaking channels (Discovery, story-on, CSV etc) and have been thinking about upgrading. Is it worth it and any idea how much it costs?
Cheers. |

I would nix SkyLife, as the only things you get with it that you cannot get with digital cable are Skysports in English, AXN (action channel), EBS English and BBC Entertainment (subbed in Korean). My Korean friend says many Korean subscribers complain about the service.
SkyLife doesn't offer TV5, CCTV9 or the Australia Network. |

Don't bother with it, I have SkyLife, luckily my employer pays for it. Your best bet is get together with a few friends, back home as well if you neeed too and buy that MLB package from the web, that way you can watch the games on your time.
Just dont check the scores all the time and your safe. I had a hard time at first, but I quickly got used to it and was watching games after work, doing the same thing now with Raptor basketball (thank god for torrents) |

I use MLB TV over the web from the MLB site. It is $99 US a year. You can watch every game from any team. You can even watch up to 6 games at once.
I patch it through the tv with s-video. MLB+ has very few games and the ones they do have is dubbed over with horrible Korean commentary |
