As English spakers we can chat with people from many countries in English.
I guess for Koreans with no English, it is an excellent chance for them to hear foreigners speak their viewpoints.

My co-teacher told me that she was astonished when the Italian girl (home of pizza)said, "In Italy we don't serve pickle with pizza." She had always assumed that round the world, pickle accompanies pizza. Very Happy

While channel hopping, I can understand the Korean spoken on this show more than any other. After a minute though, I've had enough.

Yeah, I'm split, too. They appear to be trying to educate their viewers, but a good number of the questions they are asked are along the lines of "How many bottles of soju can you drink?" and "Do you remember the first time you tried to use chopsticks?". Will they be battling headier topics when the women master Korean? I seriously doubt it.

I think that kind of show would be more interesting with people in their 30s and 40s. At my college there are a few students that are in their 30s, and they always bring an interesting perspective.

Pardon my politically incorrect outburst: I have a hunch that you're even more aesthetically, intellectually, and, thus, socially appealing than your avatar suggests to me.

Sincerely,

Roch

Haha, I just saw an episode of Misuda where the South African wench just said,

'Our country is a little boring because we don't have gag concerts'.

I then proceeded to beat my self senseless with the remote. It felt like my soul had been given a paper cut with a Korean newspaper.
