Saw this in the Joongang ilbo:

You know it's February huh?

I suspect someone added "enlgish" to the spell checker at the KT and they just keep missing the error.

The peaked hat shaped... what? What? I'm dying to know what it is actually supposed to be.

I was wanting to make a thread to see if anyone was an english consultant. I've been seeing bad grammar lately on products.

Today

"Love is ..

one word
is (some something)
"

To me it sounded like it was a running sentence not a list of things love is.

Also I hate seeing "24 open" , 24 open what!! How does 24 open anything?

MM2: If you read carefully (sometimes, not so carefully...) you can find mistakes not unlike what you've posted above even on such august sites such as CNN, AP/Reuters news feeds, etc.

(For some reason, sports news sites seem particularly bad at grammar...)

No doubt. But I just keep noticing the same error in the same newspaper's headlines.

English-language newspapers I've read in Cambodia and Japan put Korea's to serious shame. The quality of the writing is much higher, it is much harder to find mistakes, and the articles are generally more interesting.
