| I'm addicted to these things. Its got a firm texture when you bite into it that you don't expect from a citrus fruit. Then, the juice explodes into your mouth. I gotta eat more. |

Awesome, someone actually posted about these things.
I've been here for quite some time and finally had a hallabong just last Christmas. Now I'm addicted. They've got the juiciness of a gyool (Mandarin orange) and just a BIT of the tartness/sourness of an orange- perfect combination. They're quite a bit more expensive than other fruit, but well worth it since I'm pretty sick of most other fruit here (having eaten at least a couple orchards' worth at private lessons).
Anyone know anything more about this candy of the gods? |

That your avatar should peel them and hand feed them to me. |

| They're too damn expensive. Last time I had one was in 2005 and it cost 10,000won. How cheap are they now they're in season? |

Good lord, another 20 something girl acting like an 8 year old kid. I don't understand what people see in Korean women. Surprised she doesn't have a sideways ponytail with a hello kitty hair pin. |

It's originally a Japanese fruit. The fruit looks to me like it is a cojoined twin like the navel orange.
The original Korean name for the fruit was Bujihwa ('Fuji'?). I guess a marketer figured it would be more popular if it was named after a Korean mountain. |

| Hubby has long been addicted to these! I think they aren't worth paying that much for, but he scours the traditional markets when they are in Season and gets them for as low as 2,000won an orange. Anything lower is usually not that tasty! |

I LOVE these Hallabong things, but they are too expensive. Actually sometimes I don't care about the price because of the joy of eating one.
Why are they so expensive anyway?
I want to grow some when I go back home. |
