As a foreign English teacher, if you divorce your Korean wife (or husband) do you automatically lose the F2 visa? If so, when?
Anybody know? |

There's a thread about this somewhere - maybe a few months old. Eventually you lose it, but I don't remember how long it takes. |

This happened to a friend of mine. Not 100% sure, but I seem to remember him being in country 1 year after the seperation. I really don't know how soon the divorce happened after seperation. So, it is less than one year. |

If you get divorced, your wife is no longer sponsoring you. Your F-2 visa is gone.
The only visa that you CAN keep after you divorce is the F-5 visa which is on your own merits, not your wife's.
You SOL on that one.
