Today, my boss and I went to our local government clinic and had the required medical tests done. We were in an out in about twenty minutes. They took the urine sample, the blood sample, and a chest X ray. There was a very cursory meeting with the doctor which asked basic questions such as any STDs, any major health problems, height, weight, and he measured my blood pressure. I was not asked to disrobe at any time and the chest x-ray was done with me being fully clothed.
My boss had asked immigration which hospital we should use and they told him a government clinic or hospital. The whole thing went well and we just have to wait for a week for the results of the tests. They aren't equipped to test for HIV, the TBPE, or the Cannabinoids test, so they have to ship all the samples out.
Immigration may want you to go to a government clinic or hospital rather than a private one. That is what the Uijeongbu Immigration Office indicates. Of course, ask another office and you'll get another answer. |

What would have happened if your blood pressure was raised for any particular reason??
The doctor wouldn't have said "waygukin seems fine apart from raised blood pressure." Their procedures and forms do not make allowances for vagaries and irrelevant features.
Would have been first flight home for you. |
