I am moving to a University in March, and my new employer has told me I need a 'criminal record check' from my Embassy. I will be transferring my work to another job, before March 15, 2008.

My home province is Quebec. Do you know if it is possible to get a criminal record check from the Canadian Embassy in Seoul?

Thank you.

Nope. You have to get the Criminal Check thru a police agency. Have a read.

There are a bunch of other threads on this topic as well, just have to look around.

yep, as chev says-->get it through your local pd (going thru rcmp federally is too lengthy). when you have your CBC in hand, you'll then need to go to the Embassy to get it notarized (@W45,000).

Tell them you already filed for a CRC and waiting for it to returned. Maybe they think they need it order to process the visa. Just notify them that long as you have your letter of release, immigration will transfer your visa without any problems.
