Okay, it's time we had a decent internet shopping thread with some definitive answers rather than "have a Korean do it for you."

I'm trying to order some DVDs off Interpark, and I'm not able to pay. My Korean friend told me they accept foreign credit cards, but only domestic cards show up at the check-out. There's no option for wire transfer, and there's a thing called "I-points," but I don't know how to use them.

So, I know a lot of you do internet shopping with Interpark, so how do you pay for stuff? If you do use a foreign credit card, how do you do it? If you use a wire transfer, how do you do it? If you do use "I-points" or another method of payment open to the general foreign public and not just Koreans or foreigners with special visas please let us know.

Please keep the "oh, you should sign up for _____" talk to yourselves, because we've already resolved that all Korean sites are a hassle, and since I'm already registered with Interpark, I'll stick it out. Also, a lot of us want some independence and don't want to have to find a Korean to help us order f'n West Wing DVDs, so please keep "have a Korean do it" to yourself, too.

Thanks.

Has anybody signed up to Gmarket recently?

I put all my details in etc. His confirm and it says check my details and takes me back to the start.

Emailed them at their contact address and it came back after three days as non existent email address.

Actually, you can pay by wire transfer; I've done so many times. On the payment form just select 무통장입금 under the payment options, select the I-Park bank account you want to wire your money to, and enter your name (the name registered to the bank account you're wiring the money from).

On the next page, you'll get I-Park's account number and the exact amount you need to send.

I haven't tried paying by credit card so I can't comment on that. Sorry.

Nice, thank you. I saw that option there, but when I ran it through Naver's dictionary I didn't get a hit.
